Stock Control

Learn how to manage stock in the system.

Managing stock is a breeze with Neko. The stock control feature enables you to receive prompts when stock is low. Entering stock details is also essential for inventory and performance reporting.

How to add stock control details.

From the top menu, click on the Products tab.

From the drop-down menu, select Retail Products.

The products page will appear.

Select the desired product by clicking on the product name. E.g. Lily and Rose Shampoo.

Click on Stock Control on the left.

The stock control page will appear.

Stock Control fields.

Allow Sales: This option determines if you want to allow your product to be sold on the system. Select Yes or No by clicking the slider button.

Allow booking: This option determines if you want to allow your product to be used in a booking. Select Yes or No

Maintain stock: Ensure this is checked to allow Neko to maintain stock holding, making ordering and inventory counts easier. Select Yes or No

Stock on hand (SOH): Stock on hand tells you the total number of products currently registered on the system.

Click on the orange button Adjust Enable SOH (Stock on hand).

A new tab – Stock Exchange Reason will appear. Alongside this is a clickable field with the name Stock Count Gain.

For now, leave the new tab as Stock Count Gain.

Now you can go back to Stock on Hand and add the amount of stock you have. e.g. 15.

Reorder point: Amount in which stock is reordered once numbers have gone below the set point. Add the desired number by clicking the plus sign or by typing in the numerical amount. e.g. 5

Maximum level: Maximum amount of this product you would like to hold at any one time. Add the desired amount. e.g. 20

Pack quantity: Add the number of products that come in one standard pack. e.g. A Shampoo and Conditioner pack would be classified as 2. The example product shown has 1.

At this stage, you can leave the supplier fields blank.

Once completed, click the blue Save button on the right.

Congratulations! You’ve completed stock control for your product.
